A New Mexico native, I moved to Glenwood Springs with my husband and three children in 2017.

I received my Bachelor’s degree from New York University with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Pre-Med, with the intention of going on to medical school. But on the first day of my “temporary” substitute teaching job my natural love for the teaching of mathematics became apparent. I followed my heart, dropped my medical studies, and turned to my passion of teaching.

I have taught all levels of math from pre-algebra to calculus to grades seven through twelve since 2004, and earned a Masters in Secondary Education. This will be my third year teaching at Two Rivers Community School, a school whose mission I stand firmly behind.

Aside from teaching, I enjoy riding my horse, traveling, scuba diving, snowboarding, reading, cooking, and of course spending time with my family and our adopted animals.
